'Things Fall Apart' Writer Chinua Achebe Rejects $1 Million Offer for 50 Cent Movie to Share Book's Title

The new movie with rapper and actor 50 Cent is already getting major buzz as a potentially one to take him to that next level. There was a small setback in the process if the movie being released. Things Fall Apart is considered one of the most important books to come out of Africa. The book’s author, Chinua Achebe, is a respected novelist, poet, professor and critic. So when the producers of 50 cent’s film of the same name tried to pay the author $1 million to keep the name, he said no.
